Fundraising

The Peach Festival was a great success. Our gross was $1,250.60. Most of this was profit because different members of the congregation donated over $300 of supplies and ingredients. A big Thank You goes out to them for their generosity. A big Thank You is also extended to everyone who helped to cut and peel peaches, bake peach pies and other items for the bake table, helped set up and clean up before and after the event, work at the event, and bought items. We had a good crew on Friday and Saturday. We want to recognize one of our youth members, Julianna Capasso, who gave us a lot of help on both days. Thank you Julianna.

Our next big event is our pit beef and ham dinner at Level Fire hall on September 30 th, form 4-7. We will need lots of help for this event. We will need a set-up crew and clean-up crew, Helpers in the kitchen to prepare the food, a crew to bus tables, and a serving crew. Plan on helping us sometime between 11 AM and 8 PM. Please let Doris L., Curtis, Bessie, or Heidi know when you can help. We will also need some people to bake desserts to serve that evening.

We will have a silent auction that evening. If you have anything to donate for this, please contact Doris L., Bessie, or Teresa.

The cost for the dinner is adults - $12, children 4-12 - $6, and under 4 - free. We will be e-mailing the information to those with e-mails and are asking those people to e-mail the information to everyone in their address book. Also tell your friends and neighbors who don’t have e-mail. It is already on the Harford Co. cable network, and will be announced in the newspapers. Flyers will also be handed out in Webster and several other communities. We hope to make this a great success also.
