A Message From Your Pastor
Dear Webster Family,
Where has August gone? I hope every one of you enjoyed your summer, whether traveling to visit family and friends, swimming, boating, fishing or just gathering with loved ones in the backyard for cook-outs and games. For our family, we surely had a wonderful time growing and eating those big red tomatoes! Tomato sandwiches are the best on a hot summer day! You may have seen the two-pound tomato (volunteer) that grew in the front yard at the parsonage, and the eggplant is still growing strong!
By now, everyone is back to school, studying and renewing friendships and making new ones. For me, I just love to hear and see the signs of fall, especially looking for the brilliant colors of the leaves and gathering them up.
At Webster, we are going into high gear as we prepare for Rally Day on September 10 th, when we go back to the 11:00 a.m. Service, and regular Sunday school begins for our children. I hope you will join us as we prepare our children for Christian living and serving in our family here at our “Spiritual home.”
As you look at our calendar, you will see that September is filled with lots of opportunities to learn and to serve. If you are interested in joining any of our committees, we surely could use the help, especially when we serve our Webster Annual Dinner at Level Fire Co. on September 30, from 4p.m. to 7p.m. On Sunday, October 1 st, we will celebrate the Re-dedication of our church to the glory of God.
At that time, during the worship service, we will honor the generous gift from Miss Elizabeth Anderson, which provided us with the means to renovate our building. I hope you will take some time to look around and notice how much love and work has gone into preparing Webster for the future.
Take time to pray every day, and may you be happy and well in Christ’s care.
Love and Blessings
Pastor Lonna
