Fundraising

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who made our dinner on September 31 st so successful. We raised $1,529 from the silent auction and $3,587 from the sale of the dinners. After our bills of $1,448.80 were paid, we made a profit of $3,668.20. This amount was about $1,300 higher than last year. It took a lot of hard work from lots of people to make the dinner a success. We want to thank everyone who baked cakes, helped set up, prepare the dinner, serve the dinner, and cleaned-up. A big thank you to some key people: Art Helton for getting the signs that can be used again in future years, Teresa Ashby for getting items for the silent auction, Heidi Pensell for doing what needed to be done, Gary Lyttle for doing the advertising and getting the tickets, Doris Lyttle for obtaining items for the dinner and the silent auction, Curtis Cohen for leading the kitchen crew in cooking the delicious dinner, and Bessie Bowman for helping in the kitchen, helping obtain food and other items for the dinner, and helping obtain items for the silent auction.
