Now that we are about to approach the Advent season, I am sure everyone is thinking about the upcoming Holidays! As we all know winter is fast approaching and we are working hard to make sure the Church will be warm for our worship services. The Official Board decided that we would keep the thermostat at a constant temperature of 68 degrees; this will relieve us of having to force the temperature up on Sunday mornings which really cost us more in the long run.
As most of you know we are still dealing with the problem of the Rodgers Organ. Our organ is now in the shop undergoing a complete check up and hopefully they will find the problem and solve it! I know this has been very stressful for a lot of us, but we are determined to get to the bottom of this problem.
Some of the other things we have been working on for the Church are a concert by Doug Mattingly. This was suppose to happen in November but we have now moved it to this spring. There was not enough time to get it organized to have it now.
We have also talked to a new franchise holder of Jazzersize classes and hope to have this set up for next year. This will bring additional income to the church and hopefully expose our church to people in the community.
I will keep you posted on all these new things we hope to try! Please don’t forget about the Church Bazaar coming up on November 11, 9am to 2pm. I know Doris hopes to have crafters again this year selling there wares.
Please don’t forget to vote on November 7. This will be an important election for everyone; it will determine the direction our country, state, and county for years to come. It really is our duty to vote, you can’t complain about your government if you don’t vote!
I hope everyone stays warm, and enjoy this great fall weather we are having! I hope to see you all in church!
