A Message From Your Pastor

Dear Webster Family,

We are expecting snow today, and as I look out the window, I can see the chill settling on the thermometer, and the birds are coming up for their snacks. I was trying to deter them from the Holly Tree berries, so I gave them lots of suet and good seed, but they spy those bright red and juicy berries, and they are going for them.

Even though the weather looks dark and bleak, our church is vibrant and filled with joy! It’s new baby time at Webster, as we look forward to three new little ones to join our family in the months of February and March. When they arrive we will celebrate each one, as it’s a new beginning in springtime.

Lent begins with a special Taize service on Ash Wednesday, and we hope you will be able to join us for this time of beginning our journey toward Jerusalem, the cross and ultimately, the Resurrection! During this time of Lent, we will begin our confirmation class for our youth, as we center ourselves on the Lord, with study and prayer. We will meet each Sunday afternoon, beginning February 18 and continue through Easter. We will then celebrate confirmation for four of our youngsters and their families toward the end of April.

I hope this season brings you a deeper understanding of the presence of God in your life, as you continue on with us during this special time of the season. May the Lord bless you and keep you in his care, may the Lord make his face to shine upon you and give you peace.
