SCCW
The SCCW was busy with our Bazaar and Craft Show. Again this year we had a craft show with our bazaar. We had five crafters. Hopefully you got to enjoy all of the crafts and good food the crafters brought. Upstairs the white elephant table, baked table, and country store were stocked with lots of good items. The silent auction was a success and the people in the kitchen were very busy selling the delicious chicken corn soup, sloppy Joe sandwiches, hot dogs, sloppy dogs, and homemade apple pie. They cleared approximately $350 for the general fund. The $1638 raised by the SCCW will go to meeting our pledge to the church in January and the local benevolences we contribute to.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who made this event successful. Thank you to those who prepared the apples and baked the apple pies, made goodies for the different tables and in the kitchen, worked at the event, and came and supported us at the event. A special thank you to Bessie and her group for the many hours spent organizing and pricing items, Curtis and his group for their work in preparing the food sold in the kitchen, the pie baking crew, and to Bessie and Teresa for getting a lot of the silent auction items. I want to extend a special thank you to Gary for all of his help. It took every one to make this event a success.
At 7 PM, on Dec 6 th, we will have our annual Christmas get-together at the parsonage. There will be a short business meeting followed by carols led by Auggie and George. If you would like to participate in the gift exchange, bring a $10-$15 wrapped gift for a lady. All the women of the church are welcome to come. If you have a favorite cookie, dessert, or appetizer you would like to share with us, we would appreciate it. Hope to see you there.
