Kids bring their parents to church. And this was obvious when Sunday School resumed on Rally Day with an extraordinary showing of kids. We are very fortunate to have such a strong Sunday School that is lead by our finest members. Many of you may be reading this while hearing the kids singing from down below. Those sounds from the basement signify that our church is alive and thriving.
The organist and choir have come to play this fall. Auggie’s ability to make a box of wood and keys fill the church with spirituality and life is just amazing. And the choir is equally exceptional. We are very fortunate to have such dedicated individuals devoting their time and talents to our church.
After a long summer off, the Board resumed this month to tackle the challenges waiting for the fall. Please take time to read the summary of the minutes of the Board meeting. We covered a lot of ground during the meeting and still have a good bit of work ahead in preparing for the fall and subsequent holiday season. If you have any concerns on church operations, please contact any of the other Board members.
I would like to thank Kelly Hower for volunteering to handle the secretarial duties of the church for the past 5 months. We are very fortunate to have someone of her talents and kindness step up and dedicate countless hours of her time all while balancing a hectic schedule.
Please support the Webster Word by sending articles, thoughts, funnies, etc. Larry Guess and Susan Cohen work hard keeping us updated on the state of the church. Let’s make their jobs easier by sending them information to fill these pages.
Respectfully Submitted
