Webster Word
Pastor’s Message
Dear Webster Family,
Welcome to everyone as we start a fresh New Year! The church is so strong and filled with wonderful families, it warms my heart to see generations of family members worshipping side by side, attending week after week! Thank you for your devotion to the ministry and mission of Webster Church!
I have heard so many folks say how much they enjoyed the Christmas Eve service of Lessons and Carols. The music was excellent, the time was perfect, as we prayed and sang together and watched the sunset through our glorious clear windows. As we gathered around the sanctuary for our service of Lights, when we all sang “Silent Night” together, it brought back sweet memories of our beloved members who always enjoyed this service. We miss them dearly, and we know that we will see them again one day.
I would like to thank you so very much for your generous Christmas gift! I look forward to going shopping to pick out a new wardrobe for spring at my favorite “ Chico’s” boutique. I can always find something elegant to wear from there for my Sunday “dress up” days!
I look forward to this year of growth in the Spirit, as we study the sacraments of the church, Baptism and Holy Communion and how they relate to all children of God. I am planning a study for families to help them understand these words of Paul, “For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ Jesus have clothed yourself with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus”. (Galatians 3:26-28). I hope many of you will be able to study with us.
I wish you good health and happiness in this coming year. There are some who need prayer for healing and wholeness. My prayers are with you now, and always remember, you are never alone. By God’s grace, you will be healed, as Christ said, “I am with you always”, and your church family is with you in your time of need.
May God bless you and keep you in His care.
Love in Christ,
Pastor Lonna
