Vacation Bible School

Once again, Webster Church joined with Hopewell Church and Wesleyan Chapel to conduct Vacation Bible School.  Over 100 children attended VBS, which was held at Hopewell this year.

The children learned about God and Jesus, sang songs, played games, and made crafts.  On the final evening, the children put on a show of the songs they learned.  In addition, because our missions collections exceeded our goal (we raised over $1,600), four of the adult volunteers (including Susan Cohen) kissed a big ole' dirty sow.  The fine people at Bloom's Brooms were kind enough to bring Scarlett to VBS for this purpose. In addition, Woody Hower, Heidi Pensell, and Pastor Lonna dyed their hair blue because we exceeded our goal by over $200.

We then enjoyed refreshments and fellowship in the tabernacle.  This was a great year at VBS. Everyone had a blast -- children and adults alike.  Thanks to everyone who donated their time, talents, money, supplies, refreshments, decorations, etc. to make VBS such a success!!
