- Birthday and anniversary wishes to all who are celebrating this month.
- Met “Carol” at a graduation party. She is headed to Iraq next month. Told her our prayers are with her, as she is serving in the Navy.
- Doris Lyttle tripped and skinned herself. You are not off to a good start in retirement.
- Our babies are growing. It’s nice to hear them in church. What a joy!
- Family reunion planned in September for descendents of the Templin/Reese clan and the Hughes/Gallion clan.
- Vern’s sister, Ruth, is swimming again, and she says she loves it.
- Took a day trip to Willow Valley and Strasburg, Pa. on the 6 th of July. It’s pleasant to tour the Amish communities. Good relaxation, food and friendly people up there. Take the children and visit Strasburg and ride the train. Go down the road to the Railroad Museum of Pa., turn left on Paradise Lane and eat at the Red Caboose Motel Restaurant. If you are tired, stay in one of those train cars. Depending on the type of car, some have mini kitchens while larger ones have beds to accommodate extra family members. Joe and I celebrated our 25 th there in a caboose. There is also the Choo Choo Barn for the young and young at heart. On your way home, stop at Maplehofe. They have the best ice cream.
- Our newly wed Marine tried to surprise Amelia, but the government said no. Leaves were not given due to recent terror alerts.
- Hope your broken arm is better, Joshua.
- Sympathies to the Mergler family on the death of their daughter’s Marine husband in Iraq.
- Roman calls Lily several times a day and talks to her and Amelia, but always at night before Lily goes to bed, he calls and says goodnight.
- All our service men and women are doing a dirty job. Let’s pray they all come home soon.
- A sign along the road in Pa. read, “Success is when your vocation is your vacation.”
- OUTREACH is still on vacation. Hope everyone is well rested and ready for September.
